AFCO Steel
Est. 1935 · Lahore

We don’t ship steel we wouldn’t build with ourselves.

AFCO Steel is a third-generation, family-run manufacturer of reinforcement steel. The name on the bar is the same name on the gate — and that’s exactly why nothing leaves until it meets the standard.

Our mission

To make the one part of a building that is never allowed to fail.

Almost everything in construction can be repaired, replaced, or reinforced later. The steel inside the concrete cannot. That single responsibility has shaped every decision we’ve made for ninety years.

The Family

A family business, in the truest sense.

Three generations have run AFCO Steel — and every one of them has signed off on the same promise. Ownership has never left the family, and neither has the standard.

Late Mian Fazal Muhammad
First Generation · 1935

Late Mian Fazal Muhammad

The pioneer and founder of the group. From a trading house, he established a steel mill in Jalandhar in 1935 under the trademark AFCO. After Partition and the birth of Pakistan, he moved to Lahore and began again from scratch under the same name — steadfast in the values of honesty, full measure, and quality that have defined the company's ethos for generations.

Late Mian Muhammad Azhar
Second Generation

Late Mian Muhammad Azhar

He led AFCO's era of modernisation while also serving as Governor of Punjab — establishing a modern, fully automatic re-rolling mill with advanced testing equipment and quality controls at the top of the industry. Under his stewardship, the AFCO trademark became an industry standard for quality, supplying hundreds of mega-projects and landmarks.

Muhammad Hammad Azhar
Third Generation · Since 2005

Muhammad Hammad Azhar

At the helm today, he has served as Pakistan's youngest Finance and Energy Minister and was named a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader from South Asia in 2020. He was instrumental in establishing AFCO's fully integrated, digital melting and re-rolling facilities — the most modern in Pakistan — where the country's highest standards and grades of reinforcement steel are produced.

Our Footprint

Our steel is in the structures Pakistan trusts.

From a national monument to the developments going up today, AFCO reinforcement holds up projects across the country.
